HISTORY OF THE STOROPACK COMPANY GROUP
Commitment is part of our tradition
Ever since Johannes Reichenecker founded a tanning factory in 1874 in Backnang, Swabian diligence and thoroughness belong to our virtues. In 1956, the "Hermann Reichenecker Lederfabrik" produced a sales turnover of about 2.5 million Marks with approx. 35 employees. 1959 was the birth year of Storopack with the start of production of molded parts made of Styropor®. In 1973, the first pourable packaging padding material (loose fill) made of Styropor® followed, and soon thereafter we expanded into other countries.
Success runs in the family
A global family company? That holds big advantages: Flexible and fast action. Independent of stock markets and foreign shareholders. Short lines of decision. Living our responsibilities. Continuity. Sincerity in company policy, which is rooted in tradition and pointed to the future. Our objective? The long-term further development of Storopack as an independent family company. Because only then will we be a long-term calculable partner for our customers.
